Okay, so the real reason I'm doing background work is because I love TV and movies. It certainly is not for the money as I've learned the hard way....more on that later. Bottom line, I really like being in the thick of things, seeing the sets of various shows, getting to watch experienced well known actors up close, understanding how much attention is put into creating all the nuances and atmosphere to making the scene as realistic as possible. More details on that to follow as I give a rundown of my various roles I've portrayed. The hardest part of being an extra is the waiting around. So much waiting sometimes before going onto set. Like 5 hours or more of waiting. Its a hurry up and wait game. I know now to alway bring lots of reading material and my phone charger to keep myself juiced and occupied.
